This summer will bring the highly anticipated return of the Air Jordan 3 “True Blue” after a 10-year wait, and the occasion will be reinforced with the colorway traveling to another model from Jordan Brand.
The Jordan Sixty Plus Low “True Blue” borrows the original AJ3 look to clean effect. A white leather upper gets blue trim near the collar, with the color popping up again on the eyestays, lining, heel stabilizer and portions of the outsole. Bursts of red then come through via the lace toggle, tongue Jumpman logo, heel no. 23 and the midsole’s shark teeth.
First made as a low-top this year, the Sixty Plus made its debut in 2009 as a mash-up of the shoes Michael Jordan wore in his five career games with 60 points or more. Represented through various components the Air Jordan 1, Air Jordan 2, Air Jordan 5 and Air Jordan 7 — and now the Air Jordan 3 rears its head with the beloved “True Blue” treatment.

“True Blue” is the only original Air Jordan 3 colorway that wasn’t made to match the Chicago Bulls uniforms, and so he never wore the sneaker in an NBA game until he was with the Washington Wizards. It’s also been more rare than the model’s other two most renowned colorways, “White Cement” and “Black Cement,” which have both dropped seven times compared to just four for “True Blue.”
The Jordan Sixty Plus Low “True Blue” will release this summer through Jordan Brand’s website. Pricing is set at $160.
